The County Hospital Somatics coordinates the county's healthcare for specialized somatic care in Region Västernorrland. The somatic area consists of eleven county healthcare operations. These operations are conducted at three hospitals: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik, as well as several clinics located in various towns within the county. The area has approximately 2,400 employees.

Orthopedics is part of the County Healthcare Area Somatics and is available in three locations: Sundsvall, Sollefteå, and Örnsköldsvik. County Healthcare Orthopedics conducts both planned and emergency services focused on orthopedic injuries and diseases. This also includes the Orthopedic Technical Department and the Care Hotel at Sundsvall Hospital.

We are now looking for a specialist physician for County Healthcare Orthopedics. Your primary place of employment will be Sollefteå, but there may be opportunities to work in Sundsvall or Örnsköldsvik. The position is a permanent employment with a start date according to agreement.

As a specialist physician with us, you have great opportunities to plan your workday. The main responsibilities include patient care, which means being responsible for medical investigations, assessments, and treatment of patients. The role also includes administrative work. You will participate in the on-call line and work in a team with physician colleagues and other professionals.

We are looking for someone who

• Is a licensed physician with specialist competence issued by the National Board of Health and Welfare in Orthopedics
• Has good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form

• Scientific merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate of academic degree, such as Doctor of Medicine or Docent
  • Complete publication list
• Pedagogical merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate/documentation of teaching experience
  • Certificate of supervision course (basic or specialist training)
• Clinical and other merits (if applicable)
  • Certificate of sub-specialization
  • Certificate/documentation of management assignments and/or business development

Verification of medical licenses and all relevant specialist certificates via the National Board of Health and Welfare (HOSP) will occur once the application has been received.
